Detailed privacy provisions
01

1. Data controller and scope

  • This Privacy Policy applies to the Speakart mobile applications, the speakart.app website, support channels, safety review processes, notifications, premium features, and any related services operated by Skytro.
  • Speakart acts as the data controller for personal data processed to provide the service. Some infrastructure, payment, notification, analytics, and support providers may act as processors or independent controllers depending on their role.
  • If a localized version conflicts with another version, the English version will be used for international interpretation unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
02

2. Account and profile information

  • We may process your name, username, email address, phone number, birth date or age, gender, profile photos, additional gallery photos, city, country, native languages, learning languages, interests, profile bio, goals, occupation, premium status, verification status, account creation date, and account identifiers.
  • This information is used to create your account, present your profile to other users, power matching and discovery, prevent duplicate or fake accounts, and help support and moderation teams resolve issues.
  • You should not add sensitive personal data to your public profile unless you are comfortable making it visible to other Speakart users.
03

3. Messages, voice, media, and social interactions

  • Speakart may process text messages, image messages, voice messages, message timestamps, read status, sender and receiver identifiers, chat metadata, friend requests, likes, blocks, reports, verification requests, and moderation decisions.
  • We process this information to deliver messages, show conversation history, send notifications, support safety investigations, detect abuse, enforce rules, and improve reliability.
  • Private messages are not public, but they may be reviewed when a user reports a conversation, when automated safety systems flag abuse, or when required by law.
04

4. Location, discovery, and travel features

  • If you enable location-related features, we may process approximate or precise location data, selected city/country, map discovery filters, travel plans, destinations, and distance-based preferences.
  • Location data is used to show nearby users, personalize discovery, support travel matching, improve search results, and protect users from spam or suspicious activity.
  • You can control device-level location permissions in your operating system settings. Disabling location may limit nearby, map, and travel-related functionality.
05

5. Device, log, and technical data

  • We may collect device model, operating system, app version, language setting, IP address, network type, push notification token, crash logs, diagnostics, performance metrics, authentication events, and security logs.
  • Technical data helps us keep Speakart stable, troubleshoot errors, prevent fraud, maintain session security, detect automated abuse, and understand which features need improvement.
  • We try to minimize logs and avoid using technical data to identify you unless it is necessary for security, support, legal compliance, or service operation.
06

6. Payments, premium, and subscriptions

  • Premium purchases and subscriptions are usually processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or other payment providers. Speakart generally receives transaction identifiers, subscription status, product type, renewal or cancellation status, and limited billing metadata.
  • We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials. Payment providers process payment details under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Payment and subscription information is used to activate premium benefits, prevent abuse, provide support, verify purchases, and comply with accounting or legal obligations.
07

7. Notifications and communications

  • We may send push notifications, in-app notifications, emails, or service messages about chat activity, friend requests, safety updates, verification decisions, premium status, account changes, product updates, and important legal notices.
  • You can manage push notification permissions from your device settings. Some account, safety, legal, or transaction-related messages may still be sent when necessary to operate the service.
  • Notification tokens are used only to deliver notifications to your device and to maintain delivery reliability.
08

8. Legal bases for processing

  • Depending on your location, we process personal data based on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, protection of users and platform safety, and establishment or defense of legal claims.
  • Examples of legitimate interests include fraud prevention, moderation, service analytics, product improvement, account security, spam prevention, and responding to support requests.
  • Where consent is required, such as certain device permissions or marketing communications, you may withdraw consent using app, device, or browser settings.
09

9. Sharing and third-party providers

  • We may share limited data with cloud hosting providers, databases, analytics providers, crash reporting tools, notification services, payment processors, app stores, customer support tools, moderation systems, legal advisors, and public authorities when required.
  • We do not sell your personal data. We also do not allow third parties to use your data for their own advertising purposes unless you separately consent or the law allows it.
  • When we work with processors, we seek reasonable contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and the service provided.
10

10. International transfers

  • Speakart may store and process data in countries other than your country of residence because our infrastructure and service providers may operate globally.
  • Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, security controls, and provider due diligence.
  • By using Speakart, you understand that your data may be processed outside your country while still being protected according to this policy and applicable law.
11

11. Retention and deletion

  • We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, and backup integrity.
  • If you delete your account, we aim to delete or anonymize account data within a reasonable period, subject to technical limitations, backup cycles, legal obligations, unresolved disputes, and safety records.
  • Some records, such as payment confirmations, moderation logs, fraud-prevention records, or legal correspondence, may be retained longer where necessary.
12

12. Security measures

  • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.
  • These safeguards may include access controls, Firebase and cloud security rules, encrypted transport, authentication controls, logging, permission separation, and review of privileged access.
  • No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for using a strong password, protecting your device, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.
13

13. Your privacy rights

  • Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and information about data sharing.
  • To exercise rights, contact support@speakart.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding to protect your account and other users.
  • We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason where legally permitted.
14

14. Cookies, website analytics, and similar technologies

  • The Speakart website may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, understand pages visited, improve performance, and protect the website from abuse.
  • You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some website features or language preferences.
  • The mobile app may use SDKs or platform services for analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and app functionality.
15

15. Children, safety, and reporting

  • Speakart is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we may remove it.
  • Reports, blocks, moderation decisions, and safety signals may be processed to protect users, investigate abuse, prevent repeat violations, and comply with legal obligations.
  • If you believe a child is using Speakart or you see dangerous content, contact us immediately at support@speakart.app.
16

16. Updates to this policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, security practices, or operational updates.
  • When changes are material, we may notify you through the app, website, email, or another appropriate channel.
  • The date shown at the top indicates the latest update. Continuing to use Speakart after updates means the new policy applies to future use.
